We are saddened as a company to announce the untimely death of our esteemed associate and colleague, Charles E. Wiercinski. Chuck has been in the real estate brokerage business since 1975. He joined our company in the late 1980’s and served as Senior Broker and Managing Broker for many years. His history of successful deal-making spanned multiple types, sizes and locations of facilities. Client allegiance was an earmark of his long tenure in the industry.
Chuck had a passion for teaching and mentorship. He was a Certified Commercial Investment Member of the National Association of Realtors, served on many of its committees, and was a Senior Instructor for the Institute. He regularly taught real estate pre-license and post-license courses, authoring several of those courses.
Chuck was a past president of both the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors (NICAR) as well as the Northwest Suburban Association of Realtors. He was a current member of the 2015 Illinois Association of Realtors Board of Directors, and a past Chairman of the Streamwood Economic Development Commission.
During his career, Chuck had the distinction of receiving several honors. In 2007, he received the Realtor the Yearaward from the Realtor Association of Northwest Chicagoland, and in 2008 was the recipient of the Realtor of the Year award from the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors. In 2009, the Illinois Association of Realtors awarded him the Political Involvement Member of the Year award, and in 2010 the Illinois CCIM recognized him with an award for professionalism.
James McLennan, the principle owner of McLennan Company, a 103-year-old Commercial/Industrial Brokerage firm, states that “Chuck has been an honorable representative of our company and will be sorely missed. He set an example of professionalism that the whole industry strives for”.
Chuck’s family is planning a Memorial Service to honor his life on January 10, 2015. Details may be found in the link below:
